Brief update...April 17, 2005

We've got some new material on the front page of http://PlanetWaves.net/ , particularly a photo series called, "Wednesday Afternoon at the Bastille." It's coverage of Wednesday's student protest against budget cuts and curriculum changes in the French high schools. There's a short article at this link:

...which leads into a photo essay series, lots of fun stuff there.

Also, a friend just emailed to remind me that this weekend is the 250th anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann, the creator of homeopathy. Here is a link to a BBC article:

And here (below) is an old piece called "Astrology as Homeopathy" from Planet Waves, that looks theoretically at astrology as a branch of this effective, non-toxic form of medicine. Homeopathy examines and utilizes rather subtle symptoms. You might be scratching your ear, or you might have a tendency to theorize (as I do). The homeopath would note both with equal importance in the selection of a remedy.

Here's the article (you can always tell the really old Planet Waves pieces because there's no file organization system in the URL):

I'm gonna call it a night. I've got a heck of a lot of horoscopes to write in the next couple of days, and it's been a fun weekend overall. I spent part of the day editing the first three chapters for my a non-fiction book project -- for which by the way I'm seeking a literary agent, if you happen to know one that you love. Then I walked out past the Louvre and took some photos of the glass pyramid, which those who have read The DaVinci Code will be familiar with.

Be well, and catch you tomorrow.
