Many have noticed that people have had a hard time getting together about much of anything -- anti-war protests fizzle out; Democrats cannot bring out 51% of the vote; it takes a heck of a lot of work keeping the PTA together. But beginning in February and as the spring progresses, the word 'we' becomes increasingly important. Planets, both ones you've heard of and those you have not, make their way into Aquarius. There is, in a sense, a gathering of the tribes, or many gatherings of the tribes. Whatever we call home, it must eventually become true that the whole world is home and all of humanity is our family. Aries (March 20-April 19) If you can overcome any inertia tempting you to cling to the way things once were, you'll plunge headlong into the future. More than anything, you need to get yourself out of the house as much as possible. Keep an overnight bag with you at all times, and arrange your life so you can be spontaneous. For example, make sure nobody is expecting you home and that the kitty has a little extra food and water. There are people waiting to meet you -- an entirely new group of friends that will manifest in the coming days and weeks. But they probably won't be knocking on your door. Taurus (April 19-May 20) Now that so much pressure has been lifted off of you, don't waste your time trying to explain the phenomenon. In fact, it's time to stop explaining anything, or coming up with new theories, and put your ideas into action. It may well be that you're sensing some kind of major physical shift in your life, potentially a move of house, but the necessity for that, and the likely opportunity, are still a number of months off, and will feel natural enough if and when such arrives. What you need at this point is to stand at your true stature in your community, not in the social sense, but rather the professional. Gemini (May 20-June 21) Life is good when you have people around you who have faith in the same things you do. That now appears to be the situation, which should prove to be quite helpful in your project of materializing certain long-cherished goals. You simply must get over your nagging doubts and insecurities about yourself and let the world open up and embrace you. It's unlikely that you've fully recognized the extent to which external blocks are merely the result of the negative stories you tell yourself. Fortunately, both creativity and optimism are in abundant supply, so indulge. Cancer (June 21-July 22) Where there seemed to be so little, there is suddenly so much. But even growth should have its limits, and now would be a good time to assess how far you've come and the many improvements you've made to your sense of security and your quality of life. I suggest you resist the temptation to feel like you're at the last chance for anything in particular, particularly a relationship. At the moment, you have choices and you need to keep your options open. You have earned the life you have, and at this point it would be silly to trade it for something far less certain. Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) A theme has been developing through the past four seasons, and it's coming to full fruition now. That theme is your relationship to groups of people and to society itself. For most members of civilization, these relationships are lived in a state of sleepwalking, or by reflex. People 'have their place' and exist in a fixed pattern to the people in their lives. Every social or domestic routine you've known is developing into something else, probably more complex and certainly more evolved -- but in any event, designed to allow you to become the person you are certainly becoming. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) If domestic conflict teaches you one thing, it's that you have no choice but to be yourself. It would, of course, be easier if you started things out that way, but Virgos sometimes need to test the water and see if that's really safe. The wise, old members of your tribe know to come on full-force from the first moment, ask for what they want, and express themselves clearly. It's not too late, but at this point it would be useless fighting yesterday's battles. They are over, and you have a lot to do. Just try not to use the word 'busy' when people ask you how you are. Maybe try, 'I'm doing my thing. How about you?' Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) You've known for a long time that you have to get your way where certain family or domestic affairs are concerned -- and now you're seeing the reasons come out in black and white. It's a shame that not everyone handles their karma with the care and attention that you do. Most people just go on making more when their time would be better spent clearing up the less-than-beneficial results of the past. You just need to beware of these people, and continue to hold your ground. And perhaps get them to commit to taking care of what is theirs before the next series of revelations. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) As it stands, a domestic or emotional matter is way too complicated to understand in the ordinary way, so you have to use that extraordinary Scorpionic way that usually works so well for you. While some would say that you're oversimplifying things, you're actually using your intuition in such a way that lets you skip all the long division and complicated calculus. Anybody who wants can go back and do the math, but I don't suggest you wait around for your grade. Just get busy with solutions while other people seem obsessed with comprehending the problems. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) Whatever it was that blew through your life recently has not left; it has merely changed forms. Hopefully that means that what you were taking exclusively upon yourself has now taken residence as a community or household issue that the intelligent people around you share equally. This does not mean you're copping out. Rugged individualism or hanging on in isolation are myths, and have few benefits. When everyone gets involved in creating new and better patterns of living, everyone benefits. And you get to have the freedom to keep your role as the neighborhood visionary and amateur acrobat. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) Toward the beginning of the month, you will be passing through one of those phases of potentially intense and unexplainable fear. This will serve, in the end, to demonstrate that fear was pointless. Now that you have astrology to tell you this, will it be necessary to go through the process? A year ago I would have said yes. Today, now that so much has passed so recently, I think there is a more productive way for you to channel your energies. This is not merely an exercise. What you think and feel now will have the power to create patterns that will carry you into the future. Keep the vibes positive. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) I know it does not please you that so many people seem to have difficulty looking past their own self-interest. But in a short time, the world is going to feel a lot more like home. The truth is that everyone has Aquarius in their chart somewhere, and that's the part of their lives or consciousness where they can access the concept 'we'. You will have to spend a lot less time explaining yourself, and as a result can spend a lot more time participating. Simply work around people who resist; don't waste your time on them. And please overcome any of your own tendencies to be stubborn. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) You'll have the perfect opportunity this month to use all the creative discipline you've built over the past couple of years. You're set up for maximum productivity in the face of some kind of overwhelming inspiration or enhanced sense of what is possible. What you need to remember is that it is actually possible. If the cosmos is trying to teach you one thing, it's to get over your fear of your own creativity, and to shed any sense that you're not at home having fun doing your work.
